Cheesy Bacon Boneless Chicken Breasts

Next up on the list, we are going to combine two of the worlds most loved foods along with our beloved boneless chicken breasts. Cheese and bacon! Can’t go wrong, right? This wonderful recipe is designed to serve four. So, again if you are serving more or less adjustments will need to be made. Total time for this baked chicken breast recipe will also be about forty five minutes.

 

Ingredients:


 Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Again, that is 175 degrees.

On medium heat, along with one tablespoon vegetable oil, melt butter or margarine into skillet and add chicken breasts. Cook lightly, turning until each side of the breast is whitened.

Place chicken on your lined cookie sheet. Spread about half of a table spoon of mustard on each breast, followed by 1/3 cup of barbecue sauce, also evenly distributed. Place two slices of bacon on top of each breast. Then cover evenly with about 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on each breast.

Bake in preheated oven for thirty minutes or until chicken is cooked through. A trick to know, is that if the juices of the chicken are flowing clear, then the breasts are likely cooked through.

Serve with a baked potato and vegetables and enjoy!
